LOGLINE

Danae becomes an egg donor with a casual “why not,” only to find herself caught in an intimate negotiation between bodily autonomy, financial survival, and the limits of consent.

SYNOPSIS

Danae waits tables, dreams of becoming a dancer, and changes the color of her hair every month. Struggling to make ends meet, she decides to become an egg donor. Why not? Extra income while helping a woman who wants to become a mother. It sounds like it comes at no cost.

But the procedure is not what it seems. Injection after injection, Danae feels increasingly unwell, while her gynecologist’s unsettling behavior begins to raise questions. As the promise of empowerment gives way to exploitation, she is forced to confront the hidden realities behind the fertility industry. What began as a practical decision gradually becomes a deeply personal journey through bodily autonomy, economic precarity, and the true cost of consent.
